To quote Vulfmon & Zachary Barker – “Inside every snail shell is a tiny disco ball. Disco isn’t dead, instead, it turns out that it just got small “. This quote reminded us a lot of the ATB community – keeping the Fun(k) alive with an intimate crew of around 300 of you funky little disco snails.
This March, we start off with a delicious 3-hour downtempo journey from Sex on Decks – In case you haven’t experienced a Sex on Decks downtempo set, you can leave your yoga mats at home, this is designed for dancing.
Next up and brand new to the official ATB stage, we have CharWray x Mtt Smth – These two have been taking the JHB scene by storm demonstrating a deep understanding of GROOVE and a stage presence so powerful that you feel like you’re up there with them!
Now, our first of two guests from Cape Town, another ATB debutant, we are thrilled to be showing off the talent that is X-ON. Filmmaker by day, music producer & DJ by night, X-ON exploded onto the scene injecting his bouncy rhythms and naughty vocals onto Cape Town’s biggest dancefloors. He loves progressing through genres all linked by a common thread- the fat baselines! Thought, feeling & Fun – You’ll get it all.
Second to last, a rare and revered late-night set from our very own Kind Regards. Sometimes referred to as “Kind Re-hard-s”, this version of Yoni brings a juicy high-energy edge to the usual Fun(k). You don’t know him like this.
Lastly, closing down the show we give you the return of Cape Town’s gentle giant and purveyor of not-so-gentle tunes, welcome back Yo-Gurt! To quote the man himself and in true ATB style.
“I could write the usual bio and tell you about the festivals and events I’ve played, but does that really matter? My sets are about FUN. Full stop.”
Basically, he’s going to close and you’re going to love it!
